Orton Grange Farm Trail

In August 2007, we opened our Farm Trail. We've long believed that we are just guardians of our land for the next generation. We want to farm the land as effectively as possible with as little impact on the environment as possible. So, we thought: why don't we open a farm trail so that visitors can see our land, our livestocl,
and - perhaps - some wild animals?

We've built a pond almost at the furthest point from the farm. We've built stiles and bridges over the becks. A leaflet which includes the map shown below is available free of charge in the farm shop.

On the walk you should see our cows in the fields, and you might spot our hens - beautiful Light Sussex chickens. The walk takes you past our wildlife haven, past the pond and into our wildflower meadow.

If you look up you might catch sight of a buzzard. They're a common sight around Orton Grange. And you might even be lucky enough to see a fox or deer. Both have been seen in and around our fields.

Come and enjoy our Farm Trail. But bring your wellies - it might be muddy. And we're sorry that it's not suitable for wheelchairs, buggies or dogs. The Trail is free of charge and is open during daylight hours  when our Farm Shop is open (1000 to 1700 Monday to Saturday, 1100 to 1600 Sundays and Bank Holidays. On Christmas Eve we close for two weeks).
